Poisonous is one of the images in the Snakes & Ladders series and is a throw-back to childhood games and memories. It references the premise of the game but more importantly how it mimics real life. The dashed & doted lines, represents our human need to move up & rise up the ladders of success or our desires. Climb up and cross the walls, overcome problems that are put in front of us. The snake is the perfect metaphor for failure and all things negative, countering our efforts. It is to represent our fall and shortcomings as it has been depicted for centuries in social and religious murals and paintings.
