“Threads of Time: Past, Present, and Future” by Lilit Azatyan is a profound visual meditation on human continuity—where memory, identity, and spirit are woven through the layers of time. In this powerful composition, Azatyan explores the silent echoes between generations and the eternal presence of ancestry within the self.
Rendered in her signature mixed media technique, the work intertwines figuration with symbolic geometry, using branches and roots to represent growth, lineage, and inner evolution. Sepia tones, textured patterns, and bursts of crimson suggest not only life’s fragility, but also its resilience and fire. The figures—serene yet intense—appear suspended in thought, as if holding the past in their gaze while rooted firmly in the now.
With its intricate storytelling and arresting visual rhythm, “Threads of Time” serves as a powerful reminder that we are not isolated moments, but continuations—living expressions of those who came before us, and whispers of those yet to come.
